Oh MAN. Well, okay. Let's see what we've got here.
1. I don't currently have ANY The Untamed icons, and that's a damn shame. If anyone would be interested in sharing/making me some The Untamed icons, I would be OVER THE MOON! My faves are Lan Wangji, Wei Wuxian (and WangXian of course), Lan Sizhui (all the juniors, really), Wen Qing, Wen Ning, ALL THE SIBLINGS, GIMME, OMG. And bunnies. All of the above interacting with bunnies. I WANTS THEM.
2. I want everyone to take good care of themselves. No seriously - let me know some of the things you're doing for self-care, that would make me very happy. And hey, if self-care for you would be helped along by a sweet, 12 25-minute episode Japanese gay romance drama, with absolutely the sweetest, softest characters and situations ever, please consider watching Cherry Magic! 30 Years of Virginity Can Make You a Wizard?! The title is the premise, obvs, and it is so wonderful and soft and sweet and just... adorable. It totally had me squeaking throughout at the sweetness, I just adored everything. It was self-care at its finest.
3. I love to do cold reads. Like, a LOT. I like podfic, too, but I'm better at cold reads. More natural. If you're an author who might be into that, let me know. My fandoms are fairly broad - broader than the ones I've produced content in - and if we match up, maybe I will record something for you! If you want to know what a cold read sounds like, here's one I did of sami's Utterly Inevitable.
That's probably enough, right? Yeah, that's enough. <3

on 1/15/21 09:27 pm (UTC)Cherry Magic! Well with a title like that I am going to have to check it out, how could I not, lol!
I'm not familiar with cold reads so this sounds interesting and i will have a listen.
Thank you for sharing your wishlist, I hope some or all of your wishes are granted :)
Take care of yourself too.

on 1/16/21 02:23 am (UTC)Cherry Magic is the most adorable thing ever!! I just realized I left the "30" out of the title. The whole premise is if you make it to 30 as a virgin, you get mindreading as a treat! (Or something.) It is the cutest show, and it's so fun and funny with delightfully bite-sized episodes. I hope you like it!
Self-care as a prompt?
on 1/15/21 09:59 pm (UTC)What a grand idea!
For decades I've fought to be as clear-headed as possible. I managed to avoid almost all news from 11/2016 to 11/2020. Anyway, my current med level means I can actually sleep. May not be able to think as clearly as I once hoped I could, but my prescriber agreed that given current conditions, living with more meds is a good idea.

on 1/16/21 02:26 am (UTC)I'm glad you've found something that works for you - I hope your meds cocktail continues to be what you need!

on 1/16/21 09:03 am (UTC)Tea is a favorite. Comfort food is another. Tomorrow we plan to make the Pea Soup from the Elder Scrolls cookbook.

I am not picky how folks enjoy my work. :D
My most popular fanseries is Love Is For Children (The Avengers). I have other stuff on AO3 too. If you want listeners I'm a good bet, as I have some vision-impaired fans who like to consume audio.
Re: Try this ...
on 1/17/21 12:08 am (UTC)I've found a fic I want to cold read - I am actually super excited about it! :D Just getting set up to record some stuff tonight, so expect it in the next 24 hours or so. :D :D :D
Re: Try this ...
on 1/17/21 12:21 am (UTC)Yay!
>> Tea is an ultimate comfort for so many people! <<
I have what amounts to a first aid kit in my kitchen -- uplifting, soothing, digestion-settling, cold-easing, adapting, etc. And some just for flavor.
I wrote down notes for a character's tea cabinet here. Shiv has even more than I do.
>> I like creamy drinks like hot chocolate but tea is a nice, quick, warm alternative.<<
You want to try Ruby Hot Chocolate.
>> I hope your pea soup cooking has gone well! <<
We forgot to soak the darn peas overnight. So, tomorrow.

Yaaayyy! :D 3q3q3q!!! I really look forward to that.

on 1/16/21 06:49 pm (UTC)(For self-care I go for walks and take pictures of ducks, hi.)

on 1/17/21 12:11 am (UTC)God, wasn't Cherry Magic the most adorable? It was like, five hours of pure sugar straight into my brain. I loved it. I actually really love Tsuge and Minato - I'm a little surprised by how little fandom is interested in them. I'm probably not invested enough to write Tsuge/Minato fic, but I've already got a half finished Kurosawa/Adachi story!
Oh, NICE. There are so many things I think of as self-care but don't do myself. I know I would feel better if I walked more, it just seems like such an effort, comparatively. One that I should make, though. I love the idea of duck pictures so much, though - do you do anything other than keep them on your roll? Make posters or memes or anything?

on 1/17/21 06:57 pm (UTC)Sometimes I do have to force myself to put on clothes and go outside, but then usually I'm glad I did. I listen to music or podcasts or podfic, or sort of work on my fanmixes, and it's nice. And since I started the walks last January, I actually had enough pictures to make calendars as Christmas gifts for my family. :-) Otherwise I sometimes post them to Twitter or Tumblr (like so) and every now and then I get a like or a reblog, which is also nice!

on 1/18/21 03:48 am (UTC)Yeah, I know I'm always glad for it after having walked, it's just such an effort to get up and do it. SIGH. I love the calendar idea, lol, that's fantastic! And aha, thanks for your tumblr, following you over there, too. :D

on 1/16/21 11:15 pm (UTC)Hee! That does sound very cute.
I had my first massage yesterday since March. It was both relaxing and very stressful, lol! I also had my first cranberry orange muffin in ages and it was delish!

on 1/17/21 12:13 am (UTC)Oh, good for you, getting a massage! I'm glad to hear it was relaxing, though sorry to hear it was stressful. A lot of stuff is stressful just lately, it takes a lot out of us.
Cranberry orange muffins are wonderful, so glad you had something tasty to enjoy!

on 1/17/21 07:39 am (UTC)I don't have great self-care loops, but I do try to make sure that I run through the hungry/thirsty/tired checks when things start feeling terrible, because a lot of the time, the terrible feeling can be alleviated by eating/drinking/sleeping.

on 1/17/21 08:07 am (UTC)Oh, that's really excellent though - I often forget I need to drink things until I have a dehydration headache!

on 1/22/21 06:03 pm (UTC)It's a hell of a story, and the TV series is gorgeous. (With some weird, specific exceptions that we do not speak of but are good for not taking itself too seriously.)
