In your own space, share a favorite piece of original canon (a TV episode, a song, a favorite interview, a book, a scene from a movie, etc) and explain why you love it so much.

Okay well, I went through the stuff I've recently watched, like Stranger Things, The Good Place, The Magicians (this one came sooooo close guys), Lethal Weapon, and This Is Us - all of which I highly recommend, by the way.

But the one I decided to do because it is just SO GOOD is Brooklyn Nine-Nine. It's so good, and I'm SO LATE to it. I saw a lot of good about it when it first came out, and consistently throughout its run (it's in S5 right now) and the thing I like about it is that there are these terrific, quirky characters (and DIVERSE - my god the diversity is amazing) that are so interesting and the show is never MEAN to them. The humor comes from their quirks, but they're not mocked for them. The entire ensemble is always supportive, they always try to do the right thing, they just... are kind, across the board. I cannot explain how much the way they treat each other soothes my soul.

Honestly guys, I don't even know what to tell you. I've honestly been meaning to watch it for years, but when Rosa came out as bisexual, it just managed to get me over the hump and put it on my list. I downed the whole thing in a week over Christmas vacation. Best week I ever spent. If you like found family, team, and acceptance, please gift yourself this show. It is brilliant.

B99 is one of my favorite shows ever!

I remember you posting about it early on - you were definitely the reason it's been on my list all these years. Really wishing I had gotten to it earlier, though. So much wasted time, sigh.

True! But on the other hand, now you got to binge watch it all (just in time for a mid-season hiatus, lol).

It's so good! It makes my GF so seasick! I want her to know the wonder that is Captain Holt, but unfortunately I must watch it alone. *sob*

This is one of my favorite shows. It's incredibly funny but also kind and self-aware. I don't think it's ever made me uncomfortable or unhappy because of a joke it made.

There was a moment super early on with Boyle and Diaz for me, but it was almost immediately rescinded in the next episode. The whole thing is great. Now if they would just tell us what happened with Amy's sergeant exam!!!

Yeah, the whole Boyle/Diaz thing made me uncomfortable--though no specific thing stands out to me--I'm so glad the show took another direction.

I'm happy for you that you've finally gotten a chance to watch! And yes, they all care for each other so much! I find Jake's concern for Holt especially lovely.

Yes, I love the way they mock the father-son thing, but it kinda is a father-son thing, and I love it.

B99 makes me SO happy. Every time. I've been watching since s2 and I did a rewatch recently, and it was just...gosh. I love it so much.

It's so goooooood! Everyone should watch it, I swear it heals my heart.

It's a very enjoyable show. It got described to be as "the crackfic of a police procedural", and so far, it's living up to that description entirely.
