So... I am registering for gishwhes (greatest international scavenger hunt the world has ever seen), brainchild of Misha Collins.

Next year, I plan to take a week of vacation and do it with my sisters and other folks TBN. This year, I just want to get my feet wet and not have any pressure to be all MUST WIN OMG (I expect next year to be like that). So, anyone want to join me? curiouscorvid? clavally? I figure we just do what we can do, enjoy ourselves and have fun, and thank our lucky stars for Misha. Anyone else interested? I figure we can come up with a team later.

It does cost - there are multiple levels of registration fees (I love how they are completely random):

$18.89 - Basic GISHWHES Registration
$47.77 - Secret Holiday Card
$98.21 - GISHWHES Flag-Cape "Flape"
$249.69 - “MISHA NOTIFIER” and “GISHWHES Survival Kit”

If you do sign up, and are willing, please use my email as a referral (it's my work email because it's associated with real life money etc, so I'll need to give it to you - lemme know and I'll PM you with it).

And then lemme know who you are, so we can get together!

And of course I left this until the last minute, but: if you sign up before April 1, you get 108 gishpoints. Not being an alum, I have no idea if that means anything or not, but what the hell. I figured it's probably best to leap before I look in the case of anything to do with Misha Collins.

OMG THAT IS SO AMAZING! :D :D :D And judging by your first blade, I'm thinking we'll at least get an honorable mention for one of the photos. Now I'm getting all excited! :D :D :D

Yeah, I tried it on dictionary.com and that's the spelling they gave me too.

Also - clavally is going to be crazy busy at work (and I expect to be, too), so unless they think they might be completely available that week, I don't think it'll be a problem. We're the fun team! No pressure! WITH TALONS!

I hope so! I'd like to end up in the coffee table book that commemorates the whole year. :D That's pretty much my main goal. I don't expect to win, but if we could do something so well we get that, I'd be thrilled.

I'm happy to hear that you're focusing on having fun and not winning though! That's where I am. Maybe next year we could go hardcore and be very competitive, but right now I'm too new and afraid to commit that much. Also, I have a toddler, so there's only so much time I can commit if I am working without being a terrible parent! (Although if I'm off, she can come along with me and entice strangers into getting pics taken!)

I don't like having my pic taken either bc I have the most awkward smile when I know it's coming, but whatever. :p I will try to be strong! Velociraptor strong!

Man, me too! That is an excellent goal, to make the coffee table book. I just want to make something awesome, you know? Yeah, I think in the first year, going for excellent fun and participation is probably better than going for the win - especially since some of these teams have waaaaaaay more resources and time than we will.

Aw, yay for taking the toddler along - that's an excellent idea, and definitely an enticement for strangers! ... Ew. That came out sounding SO MUCH WORSE than it was in my head.
