Anyone doing Camp NaNo for April?
3/17/15 11:56 amI did it last July and made my goal, but my cabin was stupid and there was no excitement, chatter, or anything else. Anybody got a cool cabin that needs another person, or want to try building a cabin of our own?

on 3/17/15 05:00 pm (UTC)I've had the same troubles as you with cabins. If there are six other people in the cabin then three of them will post something, and then after a week it'll be silence.

on 3/17/15 05:02 pm (UTC)My cabin last year was exactly like that! I want something where people are excited! I need help getting over the hump with my story and I love enthusiasm. :D
SOOOOO.... are you going to play? Want to join our cabin? It's
a thirdtwo thirds! of the way full! :Dno subject
on 3/18/15 05:41 am (UTC)Still undecided. Probably won't decide until the last minute, but I expect the answer will be no. Perhaps the next session. The amount of Not Fun With It that was had in November is still disturbing me a bit. I've done NaNo for ten years, won maybe half of them, but this was the first time I wasn't enjoying it even a little bit.

on 3/18/15 12:43 pm (UTC)Camp NaNo is a little different, though. For one thing, you can set your own goal, as low as 10,000 words, which is totally more reasonable than 50k. I did 20k in July last year, and made it easily, even without an awesome cabin, and I'm really enjoying my cabin so far this year, so I'm hoping it leads to even more words.
But I totally understand if you're not feeling it. It sucks that NaNo was not fun last year. :(
