The Fandom Snowflake Challenge Day 13

I'm going to go back and do days 9-12, but in my own time. This one, though. Well.

Okay, if you've been hanging around here, you've probably noticed my downward slide into Supernatural. I don't think a lot of folks on the dwircle are massive SPN fans, but I know I have a few, and I know that at least some of you have read pretty widely. So what I'm looking for is Supernatural recs. Right now I'm not ruling anything out, so whatever you like, any ship, gen, RPS or canon, whatever you love, I want it.

My only caveat: please no character bashing, or killing of female characters to get to the boyslash. I know there is a lot of wife-hate out there, and there is nothing that will make me back out of a fic faster than hating on women.

I know Sam/Castiel is like, the rarest of rarepairs (for a dudeslash pairing, I mean), but I don't suppose you know of anything good? (Demanding Kate is demanding, heh.)

I've been solely on a Dean/Cas or Dean/Sam kick. I don't have anything against Sam/Cas, I just haven't read any, yet! There's, like, a paragraph of Sam/Cas in that mirror fic I recc'd you last week, but that's about it.

No worries, I can go looking for it. I find it to be an interesting intellectual exercise, Sam/Castiel, so I want to see the mental gymnastics people take to get there, you know? I have an interesting idea for a super-angsty vid that's Dean/Cas with Sam/Cas unrequited. Anyway. If I find anything interesting, I'm sure I'll rec it myself. :D

Oh, I forgot! Back when I first started devouring all things Supernatural, I came across this vid! I don't normally watch vids at all, but I gave it a shot and it totally breaks my heart and makes it happy at the same time. If I could only have one reason to ship Dean/Cas, it would be this vid since it pretty much uses all the looks they share. :DDDDD

I'd never heard the song before, either, but it's since become a personal favorite just because it now reminds me of the vid. And I like some of the harmonies in it.

Yay, thank you! I need more vids for sure (I betaed cupidsbow's Red Right Hand (Dean/Cas) and that was what got me into the show in the first place; I'm sure more vids can sell me on anything. Can't wait! :D :D :D

Okay, wow, that VID. That is a ship manifesto if I ever saw one. I mean, it's not like I couldn't see the Dean/Cas, it's just having it all stripped down and intensified like that, wow. Wow. That's amazing. :DDDDDDDD

It's all happy and angsty at the same time. If I hadn't been a shipper before seeing it, I definitely would have been after. And it reminds me of seasons 4 and 5, so it makes me all nostalgic, too.

One of my favorite scenes was from season 6 of all things when Cas is spying on them. It shows Dean walking past and the look on Cas's face as he turns is so filled with sadness and longing. It's just 5 seconds from around the 52-57 mark, but oh, my heart!
