Hahaha, not exactly, but yeah - Maryland. For a while anyway. We're moving back to the Midwest in a few months.

Do you craft? If so what kind?

This is an excellent question and my answer is no. But! I come from a family of knitters, and a huge number of my friends are knitters (in fact my flist on LJ was called Adventures in Knitting), and my girlfriend not only knits but looms, does chain mail and... other crafty things I'm forgetting.

I'd like to be able to do woodworking (my dad did it when I was a kid, had a shop in the basement), but that's a lot of time and money investment I can't manage just now. Maybe when I win the lottery. :)

The pieces were rather large and easy to sweep up, so no worries.

Short jokes are no good. Clearly what this society needs are tall jokes. What's so great about being tall anyway? ;)

jack shit, that's what. except that shelves thing. why are kitchens arranged for lumberjacks? 98% of people are not lumberjacks. I don't understand.

Yes! I should not have to use a chair just to get a cup. That is silly. Sometimes I forget what's even on the top shelves because I can't see it.

My problem with crafting has always been not knowing what to do with the stuff when I finish it. Perhaps why I never got very far with knitting. I can knit, I just can't seem to find the motivation for things that won't serve an immediate purpose.

Decoupage is fun, but again a lack of things to do with the stuff that's been decoupaged. I keep meaning to try the shoe thing, but I haven't found a decent cheap pair of shoes to test it on yet.

I'm teaching myself to cross stich. I keep getting distracted though. My goal this year is to finish one project before starting another. At least these are things I can hang on the wall. Yes?

Oh, I used to cross-stitch. It was the only thing I could do. I still want a pillow that says "Why worry? It'll probably never happen." It's my life motto. Other than that, I can't really do much. I do know how to knit, it's just not relaxing or fulfilling for me. I'd rather write.

I have a hard time sitting and doing stuff. Especially since I haven't really watched tv much in the past few months. I need to get back into listening to Big Finish.

Yeah, I'm the same - but it wouldn't matter if I was, I just get too grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! at crafty things and it would just put me off my TV.
