Mark and Lauren doing a Tahitian dance? I want to eat Mark's legs, holy crap. <3
Adichike and Anya doing the salsa... the costumes hurt my eyes. :( But nice show, Adichike, plus ridiculous choreography. Whoa.
Oh, no thank you, Joey Dowling. I am on the fence about her. I want to like her. I don't see the point of a duet where they're ignoring each other - there's nothing of interest there. Also, hello, it's Jose, why would you want to do that to him?
Oh, Travis. I just want to hug him to death. That was lovely. Robert and Allison were lovely. Just gorgeous. But then again, I love contemporary - it's rare I don't enjoy a well done contemporary piece.
Not bad, Billy. You know, Anya, yes, okay, but... couldn't they get another ballroom girl? Chelsea Hightower wasn't available? I just... arg. I'm ready to be done with Anya. Also, the bad cuts on the Meatloaf weirded me out.
ILKENT. Seriously, that boy's smile just makes me so happy. I'd be okay with the finale being Kent, Billy, Jose, and Lauren, I think. OMG NEAL/KENT SLASH YES. THANK YOU. But baseball? I dunno... Yeah, okay. But still, two boys dancing together - always slashy. I think it's impossible not to be. Though holy crap, the side by side acrobatics, perfectly in sync? WOW. Kent = ridiculously cute. Neal = I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH SOMEONE WHO IS CUTER THAN ME. D:
HEE! SHOE PORN! I don't generally love Mandy Moore (though I love a few of her routines - the Neal/Sabra boardroom routine was fantastic), but this was adorable, and Lauren and Billy just... gah. Too much cute on one stage. But talent too - the pair of them are just ridiculously talented.
Okay, so Dom/Jose should have been awesome, but it... wasn't. Some REALLY awesome tricks, some really neat choreography, but no flow - I wanted everything to go together, and it didn't quite. NappyTabs have been better this season; more variety, not so boring. I liked Jose and Dom, but there wasn't any slash going on there, which is okay, really. And there was some AMAZING sync, but. I wanted more? Is that asking too much, to go beyond? I think it could have been out of this world. It was just awesome. How crazy is it to be disappointed with awesome?
Okay, yes, another routine with two guys that's not about the slash (and comtemporary too!). I like that choreography, and wow, boys, really good job. Nice use of chairs and concept. Kent was really awesome - not his usual cheeky self (though the whole Lauren thing is amusing the hell out of me). Adichike was gorgeous too. The two of them were hilarious during the rehearsal bit, I really liked them and laughed my head off.
Mmm, that was pretty tame for Dorianna Sanchez. I never remember who Kathryn is, but MAN has she got fantastic legs. Robert was good, I guess. I've liked other discos better than this one.
Okay, so, according to what they danced tonight? IMHO, I think Robert and Jose should be in the bottom with Ashley. Who do I think will be in the bottom three? Robert... and... um. Adichike, maybe? Billy? I'm not sure.

on 7/15/10 12:58 am (UTC)Wasn't Mark AMAZING? Didn't you just want to eat him?

on 7/15/10 01:15 am (UTC)The judges need to make up their minds whether the choreographers are supposed to cater to the dancers or challenge them. I think its that Joey's a choreographer, not just a SYTYCD one.

on 7/15/10 01:24 am (UTC)Yeah, I dunno - it depends on the dancer, too, how they speak to the choreographer. I dunno - I can't remember a dance of hers that I like. I do remember liking her rehearsal tape (her personality), but the actual choreography? Not my thing. You're right - maybe she's not cut out for the show. Not everyone is.

on 7/15/10 02:35 am (UTC)I think Kent has matured amazingly over the last month. He has dropped the grin-as-armor thing and is responding directly to what the judges have to say. Somehow, he's managed to do that, dance more and more like a man than like a boy, and still be cute as a bug. I think he's acknowledging his sexual side, something which maybe he couldn't do in his hometown, and that's really bringing his steadier, more confident self to the fore.
Dom/Jose was not all that--I agree with you. It was good dancing, but they were not in unison in some places where they were doing the same tricks, etc. I was just glad Jose got back in the judges' good graces.
I'm going to have a terrible time voting pretty soon, because we're getting down to the point where I really love them all.

on 7/15/10 02:56 am (UTC)Yeah, me too - I think just the last couple weeks have been AMAZING growth for Kent. I can see him winning this whole thing. I'd be okay with that - I've loved him from the beginning, he's just so ridiculously charming. He's definitely feeling more masculine, which is nice, really, because he can have... wait - he had two dances with boys? Really? Huh. I wonder if that was on purpose. Never mind. I know it was on purpose. I absolutely believe that they're all set up beforehand and you'll never convince me otherwise.
I loved the Dom/Jose, but it should have blown me away, and it was just. Good. Great. Not whoa (as Keanu would say). I hope Jose's popularity will keep him safe.
I'm willing to let Ashley go, and Robert (I'm one of those people he hasn't connected with), and Adichike (but only because I love Billy so very much).
