Team Work all the way for me! \o/

So here is my very silly request - I recently watched the Princess Diaries movies (one and two, I know, I know, but Chris Pine is in #2 looking VERY compelling), and now I'm kind of hooked. Any chance of a McShep Princess Diaries AU?

Oh dear. As much as I love the idea of John in a crown, Rodney fits the role of dorky-teenager-turned-surprise-(and awkward)-royalty, while John is the cool friend/secret crush (if we're doing movie 1, that is), and Rodney still fits the role of awkward royalty while John is the noble-but-not-royal charmer.

And yet I want John to be royal! Maybe he can be the queen, training the awkward young surprise-royal, and Rodney can be his head of security who romances him once the young heir takes the throne? Too many bunnies!

And Zelenka can be the new security head who takes over from Rodney, with all the cameras and earpieces, while Lorne is the on-the-ground coordinator with the gun and the sunglasses.

Really, John would be awesome in the Julie Andrews role. She's all, "No, I can't marry you, my duty to my country comes first!" and Joe the security guy who loves her is all, "If you would prefer I see you only as my queen, then fine."

Arg, and now I have to go to work! I am loving this idea, though!
