So I have this idea for a So You Think You Can Dance/SGA fusion.

Actually, the problem is, I have two ideas.

Original idea: John is a dancer, Rodney is a choreographer (a la Wade Robson) and they get together. Told over the course of a season, really, not much else to it there. Pros: John dancing. Rodney dancing. Young John and Rodney. Cons: a bit schticky, right? I mean, it's really just about the dancing. And I'm already writing one that's all about the music.

Idea I came up with on the long drive home: Cast the top twenty as SGA people. Write and post as the show goes along. Pros: Write as it goes along! Easy peasy! Completely upredictable! Woolsey could win SYTYCD! Cons: John and Rodney might not end up together. This is not that much of a con, I'm finding. Also, still a bit schticky, as it's kind of all about the writing a ridiculous summary on Thursday nights.
