So, alright, I don't think anyone anywhere is interested, but just in case, I put my name down as an author on [livejournal.com profile] dvd_commentary, here. I seriously think some of my earliest stuff could be done MST3K style, as badfic, ha.

And so, I thought I would post (for possibly the only time ever) that everything I write is posted on my writing journal, [livejournal.com profile] lusty_daydreams. I'm thinking of changing *that* journal to [livejournal.com profile] kisahawklin and then renaming this one [livejournal.com profile] kisa_hawklin because... I dunno. Because I didn't think people would ever read my writings, so I didn't think it would matter what I called my writing journal. But now people can't find stuff, and they ask here from time to time. It's a weird experience.

Okay, by far more interesting to me is deciding what I want to write commentary on. You all know by know that I worship [livejournal.com profile] fiercelydreamed, but she's written her own commentary to Unidentified and she's halfway through Rebuilding Babel and I don't know what I'd really be able to add. I don't think the commentaries are supposed to be "Squee! Squee! Squee!"

I was thinking of doing one of my standby favorites - one of the stories that I go to time and again, but none of the authors are on the list. So that leaves things that are huge and made me go O_O and again - I don't think I have too much to say that isn't just "OMG! SO AMAZING!" Like, jesus, what do you say about Freedom's Just Another Word? And besides, [livejournal.com profile] synecdochic has posted a DVD commentary of her own, again, more insightful than I could ever be.

I don't think I'd do anything that wasn't SGA, and there are several of my favorite authors on there... [livejournal.com profile] cupidsbow (and OMG, love her, but would feel IDIOTIC trying to do commentary on one of her fics), [livejournal.com profile] seperis (and the one I'd love to do is the one she's not posted completely yet, arg!), [livejournal.com profile] cesperanza (but she's already got one offer, and I'm sure she'll get more) [livejournal.com profile] synecdochic and [livejournal.com profile] fiercelydreamed (and I believe we've covered this above)... I just don't know.

In general? I think my problem with doing a commentary is that I worry I won't have anything interesting or insightful to say; at least, nothing that can do any more justice to a fic I love than it does for itself. That's why I like the fics I do - they're perfect they way they are. What could I possibly add?

And I think that I'd really like to do a piece by someone lesser-known, because what a thrill for the author, right? And I like to point out pieces that people might have missed and deserve some measure of attention.

I did just notice [livejournal.com profile] scribblinlenore offered her fic, and I'm considering 101 Ways To Get Lucky (In Love), but that's pretty popular too... maybe I'll email one of the authors on my 'rainy day fics' list and ask them to give me permission. *thinks*

Yeah, it's a bitch. But I feel like I should do one! At least one. And there's one posted, too - I'm reading the fic now so I can read the commentary and see what at least one person is doing.

I actually feel like I should do two, one that's light hearted and fun and just OMGSQUEE about some fic I really like but don't have much to say about, and one about some fic that's SO SO personal and heavy and stuff.
God knows I read enough fic to have enough to babble about.

Yeah, and now I'm thinking of doing two too, as one of my fave authors has never had one of her fics done, and that's so so sad! :(

But she's like, a supersmart with advanced degrees in writing (or literature or something), and has probably forgotten more in her writing career than I've ever learned, and... ack. SO NERVOUS.
