Hey, even *reading* is a serious time commitment for a story that long. That's a whole ass novel. Fast readers might not thing it takes that long, but I'm one of those people who 'hear' everything they read in their mind, which means my speed of reading is pretty tied to the time it would take to read it out loud, so even if you go through 100k with no mistakes, that's a lot of time.
