I'm glad you liked the wording of the question, I thought of some of my own fannish experiences and figured many people would relate :)

I've lost touch with fannish friends only to circle back with them in another fandom. I've watched and cheered from the sidelines as friends got into fandoms where I couldn't follow them. I imagine this happened to me too, especially when I entered C drama fandom

I love everyone in this bar, in every way that I interact with them, and I love the fandoms, too.
