I'm calling this one done, because I interact with people a lot, here, in discord, on slack, and on the AO3. The kind of works I put on AO3 tend to engender discussion (we're currently having several threads of conversation about mac + cheese (or KD, if you're not USian) in our latest podcast comments). But hey, consider this a free way to say hi, or ask a question or whatever! You can always do that, but this is me giving explicit permission and a request for this post, right here, right now. HI HI HI HI! I would like to know more about you all, tell me things!

Ahahaha, mac and cheese, man, apparently it's a universal foodstuff! Do you add anything to yours? I've gotten guff about my poor grad school self eating it with tuna, but I also add peas or bacon or whatever is handy. :)

Not really? But also yes? I love cheesy broccoli, so I make broccoli and some mac&chs days so I can mix them together. *g* I have never heard of adding tuna, though. It must be good or you wouldn't still be doing it. Bacon would somehow ~elevate it, I think. *g*

I don't eat it with tuna anymore. I'm gluten intolerant so I don't really even eat M&C anymore, either lol. But tuna was definitely something I used to do that I wouldn't do anymore (or haven't done in years, anyway).

Bacon DOES elevate it! It's just so delicious!

Pip has to be GF. Do you not like the GF pasta options?

Having tuna with your mac&chs reminds me of my mom's tuna casserole, which was made with cream of mushroom, so no cheese, but it was probably pretty similar.

I don't mind some kinds of gluten free pasta, but I found out when I was looking so hard for something palatable (I hate anything with brown rice, the flavor puts me off!) that my wife actually really does not like pasta much at all! So I just gave it up, mostly. The mac and cheese GF version is actually pretty good!

Yes - my mom had a tuna casserole like that too! I think that's really where the basic idea came from.

Ahh! That's probably the easiest thing to do, then. *g*

Pip ate it, then one day told me he didn't really care for tuna, so I switched that out for the canned chicken and used cream of chicken soup instead of cream of mushroom. (Before he was diagnosed.) It was okay. But it wasn't tuna noodle casserole, you know?!! *g*

Yes, exactly! My mom made a lot of casseroles (we had one called "six can casserole" that was literally picking six cans and mixing them together), but tuna casserole is its own beast, you know?

In college, our hack to spice up MacNCheese was worchestire sauce. It was a game changer that oddly enough, I haven't done since.

Next time you have left over chili, throw it in some msc n cheese. YUMMMMM!

Ohhh, worcestershire sauce is genius!!!! I will definitely be trying that!

Chili is not my thing (I've discovered I just really hate cumin, lol) but I'll tell my wife to give it a try!

I am also working remotely these days, and loving it! It is going to be difficult getting back into the office later this year.

Things are going mostly well; they are definitely on an upswing after a couple of really hectic years. I hope things are going well for you too!

Ahahahha that is a good one! I like tracking too, actually, particularly because I'm just not here that much, and there are always things I miss, so it helps me miss fewer of them!
