Day 4: What are the origins of your penname/username?

Short one today. Kisa Hawklin was my very first D&D character. She started as a 7th level human bard and I played her up to level 30, and I still miss her from time to time. I like my current D&D groups, but that was my first, and my longest, and all the characters were so great.

When did you first play Kisa Hawkin?

It would've been like, '93? Something like that. My first year at conservatory, which was fall of '93. Though... I knew the guys I played with before that; somehow or another I had met a bunch of the folks from my new university before I transferred there (and I cannot remember HOW anymore, which is MYSTIFYING ME), so possibly as early as January '93.

ETA: I REMEMBERED. Oh, thank fuck, that was going to haunt me. I worked at the YMCA that was just down the street from the conservatory and had a huge crush on one of the dudes I lifeguarded with who went to school there. We became friends, and then I decided to transfer in (not because of him, but because the music program at the state school was insufficient), and it was his roommate that introduced me to the guys who played D&D (and ended up being my boyfriend for years afterward).

Thanks! Man I just sat there staring at that answer going - I absolutely 100% knew those guys before I went to Lawrence. HOW.

I miss certain aspects of being young, but certainly not all of it.
