Day 2: You've got your OTP, you have to throw a third into the mix (from the same fandom), creating an OT3. Who is the OTP, and in your opinion, why would they make a perfect third for them? Bonus question: What about adding a third to your OTP from a different fandom? Who and why?
Easiest and hardest question ever! My OTP is Wei Wuxian/Lan Wangji, and in MDZS/The Untamed, Wen Ning is absolutely my favorite 3rd with them. He's so fucking adorable!!! And he just worships WWX (who does not accept that with any grace at all). They're absolutely adorable together. (And yes, I have written this. (WangNingXian, ~6500 words, explicit)) I also like the idea of Wen Qing, but people have very scary (and sometimes gross) reactions to her, so there isn't much, if any, of this. The WIP I gave up for the MXTX Bargain Bin has a convoluted Nie Huaisang + WangXian relationship that I considered making into a threesome, though I gave it up before I got there, and there is a massive WangXian/Nie Mingjue fic that was actually pretty great. But Wen Ning will always be my fave.
Now for the hard part. A third from another canon. So for me, I don't like to mix pairings, so taking one character out of one of my other OTPs is not acceptable, though I'm okay with non-OTP pairings splitting up. For example, I wouldn't pick Rodney McKay or Cougar, but would be fine with Teyla Emmagen or Roque.
There are a few people I think would be a decent fit. Ronon Dex, actually, because he reminds me of Lan Wangji with flashes of Wei Wuxian, and he is of a similar level of hotness and also probably one of the few people who is tough enough to keep up with cultivators (and yeah, I think he'd make a good permanent third, actually). Eliot Spencer, because I often read him as aromantic but thoroughly devoted to Hardison and Parker, so picking him up as a third for extremely hot sex wouldn't screw up either the WangXian or the Leverage OT3 relationships. Da Qing, I think would be a good permanent partner in the same way Ronon Dex would, except that he is reversed in temperament – he reminds me of Wei Wuxian, but with flashes of Lan Wangji. Also I feel like both Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji would adore someone who could turn into a cat.
