Fandom Snowflake Challenge, Day 15

Day 15: In your own space, talk about what you're taking away from this challenge. Did you learn something? Did you interact with new people? Or did you try out different fandoms or formats or relationships? What's changed between Day 1 and Day 15 of this challenge?

Well, for one thing, I DID IT! I did the whole challenge, and with the exception of one day, I did it all on the day it went up. Considering how sporadic my DW existance has been, that's HUGE. It also has reminded me how much I love fandom (like it does every year, which is why I do it - every year).

It's been a nice little boost to my wordcount for the year, my morale, and my sociability. I always manage more online interaction during snowflake_challenge. And like every year, I've made a few new friends. *waves at new friends*

And the mods to this challenge are just so thoughtful and heartwarming. I love seeing them when I poke around on people's entries. It's so good. This whole challenge is just so good.

I love this challenge every single year. I'm always excited when it starts and have a warm glow when it's over. It's like a half-month love letter to fandom. :)

I know it's a bit of a chicken and egg thing, but I really feel like the positive way the fest is handled is what brings in good people. It's low pressure, high on enthusiasm, and packed full of positive ideas and feelings. It's a pretty great little fest. <3
