Here's the full 30 days, for those who want to play along.

Oh yay, more writerly stuff! Watch me blather. :)

Day 18: Where do you get the most inspiration for your fics (aka "bunnies") from?

Hm. This is an excellent question as I used to only have one bunny at a time, if that, and now I have way more than I could ever write, and I can come up with prompts off the top of my head with ease.

For fandom, ideas come from everywhere. Watching the show and loving it. Watching the show and hating it. Sporking it with friends. Talking canon with friends. Talking plot holes with friends. Talking characterization with friends. Or just thinking on any of that stuff. Sometimes it comes from reading other people's stuff and being inspired. Either because it's so good or because it's so wrong wrong wrong and I must fix it.

Original fic stuff comes from dreams, sometimes. Sometimes it comes out of thinking about a concept or character or life or the news or whatever. Sometimes I swear it comes out of the ether.
Day 19: When you have bunnies, do you sit down and start writing right away, or do you write down the idea for further use?

Both. I'm usually in the middle of three to five epics at any given time, as well as a couple of shorts. If the bunny is big, I may or may not bother. If it's a good bunny, it'll stick around, even if I don't feed it (I have an alt!S7 fic that I've put a whole lot of thought and time into that I've barely written a word for, but it's still in the back of my mind because it's a really good idea). If I forget it, well, then it wasn't meant to be, I guess.

If the idea is for a short, I'll likely start writing, and if it really *is* a short, I'll usually finish it in a couple of days. If not, it gets added to the list of epics on my plate. SIGH.
Day 20: Do you ever get bunnied from other people's stories or art in the same fandom?

Yup, all the time. Sometimes just the premise, sometimes a good story gives me an idea for a spinoff or AUish thing, sometimes, like I said, they're wrong wrong wrong and I must write the correct story!
Day 21: Sequels – Have you ever written a sequel to a fic you wrote, and if so, why, and if not, how do you feel about sequels?

Yes, I suppose. Not usually full on sequels, because pretty much when I write a fanfic, I've written the whole story. There isn't another novel's worth that I'm interested in writing. That said, I do often really enjoy my universes and I write timestamps or alternate POVs. I often find that to be an excellent way to whip out a few shorts when dragging along on the epics gets me down.
