In honor of my return to DW, a meme!

So what have you been up to?

Working. Writing. More working, more writing, giShWHeS. My sister's getting married on Friday. Cat hell (he's better now, his blood sugars are dead normal thanks to new food, we think).

Major life changes? Same old same old?

Yeah, just busy with the same old shit. Working on getting promoted at work, so that's adding stress on top of work, and writing the shit out of eight stories at once, as you do.

What fandom are you in/do you spend most of your time in?

Supernatural, Supernatural, The Losers occasionally, Supernatural.

Where do you hang out online?

Work email and Slack mostly, Tumblr a bit, Twitter very rarely. Instagram, HabitRPG, other places required for work whenever necessary. And AO3, actually, a fair amount. I'm here for ante_up_losers and 15_minute_ficlets weekly, and I try to check my dwircle at least that often.

What are you reading?

Strong Black Vine by shaenie. It's awesome. I'm stuck on chapter 18 (no freaking time OMG) but I have PTO next week, and this is definitely on my to do list.

What are you watching?

Monday nights, So You Think You Can Dance. The rest of the week, my Supernatural summer rewatch (I'm mid-Season 5). From my DVR, The Great British Bakeoff and Faceoff.

What are you making?

I was knitting a baby blanket for ante_up_losers but it's been put off. I'm trying to write an article for work. That's not going so great. Also trying to finish two stories before August goes by and I haven't posted anything. One's a porn short, the other's a 50k story that was supposed to be a fun little lark and turned into a huge angstfest. Because I'm me.

What are you squeeing about today?

We just saw Cirque du Soleil Kurios and OMG DO I WANT THE LEVERAGE AU. There was a drummer that looked like Eliot and crazy bendable ladies and acrobats that reminded me of Parker and the whole thing was steampunk (OMG) and I want behind the scenes wizard Hardison. So who's gonna write it for me?

Also also also (OMG it's just been a crazy busy social week for me, and it doesn't let up until Saturday), I MET grammarwoman on Sunday and forests_of_fire on Monday!!! WHAT A WEEK, DWIRCLE! Tomorrow my sister comes down and we're going sailing on a tall ship. It's like I had one week to be social in, I had to get it all in at once!

If you could rope old fandom friends into a new fandom, it would be...

Supernatural, because I could use more friends in that fandom, and I missed it when the SGA folks took their brief detour through there.

I should really watch/read/dive into _______ and then come talk to you about it!

I hear Sense8 is good?

What else is on your mind?

Nothing, because I am tired and need to go to bed. But I will leave you with an item I did for gIsHWHEs: a thank you haiku for my mom. :)

Great British Bake-Off!! It's the best time of the year, better than Christmas.

I loved Sense8 - it has so much great stuff, like lesbians in relationships that are not tragic (points to icon), and mind-meld competence porn. I've heard some people didn't like the slow storytelling style, but it worked for me. It seems that by the time you get to the Four Non-Blondes cover, you either love it or hate it. (I loved it.)

Yup! My mom embroiders dish towels with little designs in the corners. I have dozens of them.

Right? I'll get to Sense8 eventually (Daredevil is also on my list), but I've got all I can handle at the moment.

The tall ship was so much fuuuuuuuun, OMG! And thanks - I'll be glad when it's over, actually, it's going to be a little weird (it was kind of a rush, and in my mom's backyard), and mostly I hate standing up in weddings. But I'm touched by her asking me.
