Full request: if I had a huge crush on Amanda Tapping, what episodes of SPN should I watch? Should I bother? Was Naomi in it very much?

Well. I am not an unbiased person to ask this of, because I happen to love Supernatural, so I will always say yes!

And Amanda is brilliant as the enigmatic angel Naomi, so I say absolutely, this is worth a watch. She's gorgeous as ever, and just knocks it out of the park in her time on the show.

In addition, the plotline with her and re-writing Castiel's base programming hits me in all my Supernatural feels, culminating in one of my top five episodes ever, 8.17 Goodbye Stranger. So yeah, I'd say, watching her episodes would totally be worth it for an Amanda fan, and give you a decent sense of what Supernatural can do right, when it puts its mind to it. Her eps are:

8.07 A Little Slice of Kevin
8.08 Hunteri Heroici (A hilarious episode)
8.10 Torn and Frayed
8.17 Goodbye Stranger (A heartwrenching episode)
8.19 Taxi Driver
8.21 The Great Escapist
8.23 Sacrifice (Another heartwrenching episode - and she dies, so, if you don't want to see that, maybe stop this one fifteen minutes from the end? After her little speech to Dean and Cas.)

AAAAAAAH! It's my day, yay! I've been looking forward to this one, actually, because Amanda Tapping! Thank you for the episode list - I will acquire them, and absorb them and get some Amanda Tapping on my screen because I miss her.

I LOVED NAOMI! I just had to say that. Because, I DOOO. She gets so shafted in fanfic, but that's whole 'nother kettle o fish.

Yeah, some characters are just tough for fans to deal with, especially in fic. It annoys me. But Naomi is AMAZING. :D :D :D

Man, fandom despised her, but I just absolutely adored the character. Ugh, Naomi feels.

Did they really? This would be why I stay just outside fandom. Fandom has bad opinions sometimes and should feel bad.

I loved her, especially when she was still ambiguous.

OMG yes, Naomi was such a great character! I wish we'd gotten more than one season of her.

Yes! I would've loved to seen a hell of a lot more of her and a hell of a lot less of Metatron.
