So you may be able to tell from the subject line that I am planning on signing up for sga_santa. It's the last year, and I don't want to miss out. Come join the fun! It's a last huzzah for a fandom that I loved deeply for many years, so I am excited to see everything that comes out of it. (A small part of me hopes one of the newer fen takes up the mantle and organizes it next year (though I won't likely play), but I suppose we'll see come next year.)

I'm also finishing up my Team Free Will big bang. I got past the hard sex, so now I'm hoping I can finish the story up this weekend, mostly.

Well, I kind of figure it's a "who can you imitate best" sort of game. It's likely to be one of your favorite characters (so Dean, maybe?) and then whether or not you can do their speech patterns. Dean would be sort of growly and put-upon (in this), Crowley snarky, Charlie a bit nerdy (her cadence is tough), Cas that almost-robot thing he's got going on sometimes (for this, I think, that would be best), plus the growly again, and Sam a bit whiny and also put-up. Which is why I think I could do Sam. It's like a vocal recording of Sam's bitchface.

I think Crowley might be the hardest. I can hear him in my head, but I can't produce that kind of snark naturally.

I'd be in but my computer just died from a power outage and your meeting thingy might not work to New Zealand anyway, plus the time difference's probably not doable. Never mind.

In terms of AUs, has anyone done a Mad Max-verse AU? I can see either Rodney or John as the gyrocopter pilot! And Kolya as a scarred psychotic biker! But, er, you'll have to hope your recipient wants an AU or at least doesn't mind AUs, yes?

OMG, it would be brilliant to have you! I haven't got the rest of the players in place yet, lemme put up a post for just that and see if we can't work something out. You never know, sometimes there's ways to get this to work. (Time zone-wise, I meant there.)

The AUs were for my request - I like to give random suggestions and normally I can come up with a zillion prompts off the top of my head, but I just hit a wall with SGA AUs. There are so many good ones that I can't think of anything that hasn't been done!

post-puberty kids with disabilities living in a "care home" because their parents don't want them (see e.g., SHORT-TERM 12 or Good Kings Bad Kings). Teyla and Ronon would be staff; Rodney would be an exceptionally talkative quad (SMA, so full sensation); John would have mental health issues (because John has some).

Oh, there's no etiquette! It's all good. I think the detail makes it, though, so I don't want to pull too much out of it. It's fine; I think I can live with my two examples.
