So, I had not actually planned to do this (when do I plan to do anything, I ask) but I've been trawling the Festivids and holy cow, there's some truly amazing stuff out there.

First, the Alien franchise! Yes, THIS would be why I named my female cat Ripley. She's amazing. This vid is amazing - the timing of it, the use of music, the feel of it. Amazing.

Song choice, man, I find that to be one of the key things as to whether or not I'm going to like a vid. Not just song choice, but how the feel of the song fits canon, and how the vidder uses canon in a way that fits the song. This one is beautifully done.

Teen Wolf RPF! Okay, so I'm still not going to get into this fandom (though I see there is a guy with longish hair - nice try, Teen Wolf) but I love casts that are like this (part of the reason Supernatural hooked me was the cast's shenanigans) and this is the perfect song, with a great feel.

I clicked on the L.A. Complex one out of curiosity and was just about to turn it off when I saw the first kiss and then my brain kinda went !!.....!!!!!!!

Oh, I missed Jewel Staite, but yeah, I was enjoying it, and then the kiss happened and I was all "WHUT. O______________O WHUT JUST HAPPENED THERE?!!!!" and then it just kept going and holy SHIT does this have to be in my life, like, NOW.

LA Complex is a complete WTF show. It's a Canadian production, and they can get away with a LOT more shit up there (damn CW for blurring/cutting the sexytimes!), and Kate Hewlett is one of the writers and guest stars in season 2, and it's like Melrose Place on speed.

I don't even know if I like it, precisely (some storylines I have to skip on fast-forward), but I can't help but watch it.

She is! I have no idea about plans for season 3, but she and Brendan Gall (who played her SGA hubby Caleb) were both writers in season 2, along with Martin Gero, I believe.

It was on the CW a few months back, so it might be on their website? In any case, I'm sure you could acquire by *cough*the_vault*cough* other means.

How weird they hired an actor named Brendan Gall when they had a character named that in the show. Cool!
