More podfic, this time with ~thoughts~

I hadn't actually thought I would change my performance based on the fandom, but I totally did. My ts are very pronounced for the most part, which I don't normally do. My pace is generally slower, and the rhythm of the thing is quite different from SGA and the Losers (which are remarkably similar, thank you, Rodney and Jensen). Part of that is lavvyan's particular turn of phrase (which I feel really suits the Sherlock fandom beautifully), and part of it is that I can hear the accents they way I want to hear them - but am unable to produce them. There is one random sentence in there where I seem to have some slight semblance of a British accent, but I assure you, it was complete blind luck. It doesn't bother me not to have the accent but I do wonder what it would sound like with one. I don't think I'll likely record more Sherlock stuff. I may give in and do a few of my favorite stories by lavvyan because, well, lavvyan, but I'd rather listen to someone with a British accent reading the stories - I bet it'd be brilliant.

There was more - this was a particularly tough read for me (lavvyan got a blooper reel) - but I'm tired and it's late and I'm not even going to bother with amplificathon because I am intimidated by the scoring process and did I mention it's late? It totally is. I'm going to bed.

Summary: The inherent problem is, of course, that Sherlock is the world's only consulting detective. He doesn't ask for information; he deduces it. That John keeps behaving in unexpected ways is irksome. That Sherlock still hasn't been able to determine whether or not John wants a physical relationship beyond cuddling on the sofa is… annoying. Vastly so.

Now this was an extremely satisfactory listening experience: a top-notch performance of a great fic! Like you, I must admit I have a crush on lavvyan's Sherlock fics... Having more of her stories recorded by you would be simply amazing! ***does puppy eyes****

Thank you! I totally love this fic (and lavvyan!) so it was a joy to do it. And I might read a few more because, well, lavvyan.

And I will eventually post to amplificathon for the contest (I have plans!) but not until I have some time to sit down and figure out the scoring. It is a little intimidating.
