omgggggg I wish I'd known you when I used to spend entire rehearsals trying to decide which instrument John and Rodney would play, if they were musicians.

One time I wrote a snippet kind of thing where Rodney played harpsichord, but it only worked because I'd met this one harpsichordist who was... well it just worked. But mostly I thought Rodney was a super-high-strung oboe player. Who is a huge freak about his reeds. Like he complains about people breathing in his reeds's general direction.

I could never decide about John. I thought that maybe he was one of those violinists who was more or less forced into playing the violin, and doesn't particularly like it, but also happens to be really good at it.
