Holy crap, WUT?
PHILIP AND JEANINE IN THE BOTTOM THREE?
Well, at least my John is safe. Please don't send my Teyla home. :(
ETA: Way to be amazing, Karla. I hope it was enough to keep my Teyla safe.
Son of ETA: Damn it. Maybe I'll have to make Caitlin Teyla after all. :(

on 7/4/09 05:35 am (UTC)At this time last season, I'm pretty sure there were still several people who I was looking forward to losing from the competition, and I already don't want anyone else to get kicked off this year. I think Karla was in trouble as soon as she got paired up with Vitolio. She needed a really excellent routine for the judges to keep her, and he was just waaaaay too green for that to happen.
You know, I hadn't really thought about it before, but Caitlin and her acrobatics wouldn't make the world's worst Teyla, even if her personality isn't a great match.

on 7/4/09 01:17 pm (UTC)Yeah, I have a few people I like less than others, but no one I'm actively looking to send home. This is a tough season. I love Karla, I'm so sorry she had to go. I hope Kayla's next. (Okay there's one person I could stand to go home.) I don't get the judges love of her, she drives me batty.
I think I'm going to wait to see how the season plays out and recast from there. I like Jason as John, and so making Caitlin Teyla would be a nice fit, if they make it pretty far. My biggest problem is that I think the two boys in the final four are likely to be Philip and Brandon. Which means John is going to be out way too early for my tastes. And Philip is reading almost like Rodney to me, with his geekiness, etc. Though he's a bit too personable to be Rodney. Ugh, I dunno, maybe I'll just sort of... massage everyone into place.

on 7/4/09 11:04 pm (UTC)I got the feeling this week that what the judges love about Kayla is her technique, and I will totally admit that I can't tell quite good from brilliant. I like her better than I did a couple weeks ago, and I enjoy her routines, but I'm never going to pick up the phone for her (in the imaginary world where I actually vote for dancers).
I think Brandon might get cut at 3 or 4, like...whatisname, the guy last season who was also technically very good. Brandon's got a bigger personality than he had, but it isn't always an accessible one. And Phillip hasn't had Twitch's or Josh's magical transformation into a ballroom dancer, and I think he's going to need that even if the fans love him. I don't know about Phillip-Rodney, but it would be sort of hilarious to read a Rodney who is brilliant at what he does well, and just completely shit at other styles.
