I'm gaining confidence in my assertion that Giacchino knew what he was doing; there's such a strong parallel between what's missing in the movie and what's missing in the soundtrack. And while I didn't miss it in the movie (my mind was basically at: shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiny), I definitely felt the lack in the soundtrack.
