<3 <3 <3 Ty bb. I wrote a lot of words, but that was mostly in the beginning of the year, and it just died in April. Coincidentally, my wife started writing about 30k a month in April, when she hasn't written in years, so this weirdly feels like a double failure, almost. Or maybe a transfer of writing mojo? It is confusing and frustrating and just. I hate it. She and I have not had writing mojo at the same time since SGA, and it's terrible and sad. I don't begrudge her writing mojo, but it seems to make it worse for me, seeing her get down words and write incredible things and feeling my well is dry. I imagine it was the same for her for the years where I was writing regularly and she didn't touch anything.

I haven't really figured out the issue, like, part of it is that I have limited time outside of work and a lot of activities, but writing takes consistency for me, and so does music, and so does podfic and there are only so many hours in a day. When I'm doing them all, I feel overwhelmed, but each one individually is extremely satisfying, and having to give up one to do the others makes me very sad.

Work itself is an issue as well, it's just super mentally draining, so I do not have all the time/energy in the world in those precious few hours after work. If I could be independently wealthy, that would be great, then I would have time to pursue all my hobbies.
