Oh my GOSH you guys!!!!! I did so many of these back in the day! I have 151 things tagged meme on this journal (which includes my LJ that was ported over back when I came to Dreamwidth) so feel free to trawl that for ideas.

I love these a lot, so I'm gonna have to force myself to NOT put 150 of them in here. But, I can't help myself, so here are a bunch of my favorites! Feel free to play any of these in the comments, or steal them for your own journal or whatever.

What Kind of Dungeons and Dragons Character Would You Be? This is super long! It's over 100 questions! But fun, and as I play dnd I do think about this from time to time.

Neutral Good Human Sorcerer (7th Level)

Ability Scores:
Strength- 11
Dexterity- 11
Constitution- 13
Intelligence- 16
Wisdom- 14
Charisma- 17

Alignment: Neutral Good
A neutral good character does the best that a good person can do. He is devoted to helping others. He works with kings and magistrates but does not feel beholden to them. Neutral good is the best alignment you can be because it means doing what is good without bias for or against order. However, neutral good can be a dangerous alignment when it advances mediocrity by limiting the actions of the truly capable.

Race: Human
Humans are the most adaptable of the common races. Short generations and a penchant for migration and conquest have made them physically diverse as well. Humans are often unorthodox in their dress, sporting unusual hairstyles, fanciful clothes, tattoos, and the like.

Class: Sorcerer
Sorcerers are arcane spellcasters who manipulate magic energy with imagination and talent rather than studious discipline. They have no books, no mentors, no theories just raw power that they direct at will. Sorcerers know fewer spells than wizards do and acquire them more slowly, but they can cast individual spells more often and have no need to prepare their incantations ahead of time. Also unlike wizards, sorcerers cannot specialize in a school of magic. Since sorcerers gain their powers without undergoing the years of rigorous study that wizards go through, they have more time to learn fighting skills and are proficient with simple weapons. Charisma is very important for sorcerers; the higher their value in this ability, the higher the spell level they can cast.

WIP Meme (as I writer, there are LOTS of these, and I think we should resurrect all of them!)

I am currently neck deep in long WIPs, so here's seven sentences from the ones I've worked on in the last month:

Wen Ning gets laid (this is 'kinkmeme prompts' in the last one FYI)
Wen Ning's eyes are closed and Wei Wuxian looks up at the way his husband has plastered himself along Wen Ning's back, knowing Wen Ning is enjoying the warmth on his skin. They might have bathed, first, but Wei Wuxian wanted the warmth to come from him and Lan Zhan – and besides, the plums meant everything was just going to get messy anyway.

The way Wen Ning's mouth hangs open is adorable and Wei Wuxian presses himself closer, petting Wen Ning's thighs as he gently spreads them to make room for his shoulders. Wen Ning's head drops back, supported easily on Lan Zhan's shoulder, and Wei Wuxian is so happy that Wen Ning likes this, that he feels safe and comfortable enough to trust them, and that Lan Zhan is thoughtful and kind and giving, even of the things he guards most zealously.

Wen Ning makes another small "Ah!" when Wei Wuxian kisses his thigh, touching his tongue to the delicate skin there. It is cool and tastes like the forest and fresh water. Hm, he should have guessed that Wen Ning bathed in the river before coming to visit.
Murder/Mirror/Serial Killer AU (currently titled Murder!LWJ 2)
Before he can say anything, Lan Wangji says, "Your hair," frowning more severely. "Bring the brush."

Mo Xuanyu swallows. There is a reason he doesn't have a hairbrush, and while he normally would try to distract his mark with cute talk or overexcitement, he has a feeling that won't work with Lan Wangji, and a misstep here has more danger than usual. He goes back into the bathroom and opens the drawer, pulling out the brush he'd seen earlier.

It's wooden, with stiff bristles, and he shudders involuntarily. Gripping the handle firmly and taking a deep breath, he walks over to Lan Wangji and hands it to him.

"Sit," Lan Wangji says, and Mo Xuanyu does, using Lan Wangji's knees to maneuver himself into a comfortable position between his legs. He tries to control his hammering heartbeat. Likely the worst that will happen is a little hair pulling.
Protecting WWX from himself
He calls for a bath and set of robes for her and says he will speak to his brother. She bows and thanks him and he returns the gesture, saying, "It is I who must thank you."

The bath is a luxury that makes the anxiety that's been sitting in the pit of her stomach crawl up into her throat. She understands she must be presentable to be heard, but what of A-Ning? He is dirty and tired. He may be hurt. He may be…

"How did you manage that?" Wen Qing asks, sounding vaguely impressed. She doesn't even try to take the bowl away.

Wei Ying shrugs. "His partner got injured. I was cleaning in the room where he held auditions, watched all these dancers fuck up a simple lift, and told him I could do that."

Wen Qing eyes him critically. "You don't dance."

"Pfft," Wei Ying says. "What do you know?"

I'm watching the Ace of Cakes marathon on the Food Network. There are bunches of commercials for 5 Ingredients Fix and I keep hearing 5 Ingredient Fics.

OH! A fun random character meme that's good for getting your brain thinking creatively
1) Make a list of fifteen characters first, and keep it to yourself for the moment.

2) Ask your f-list to post questions in the comments. For example: "One, nine, and fifteen are chosen by a prophecy to save the world from four. Do they succeed?", "Under what circumstances might five and fourteen fall in love?", "Which character on the list would you most want on your side in a zombie invasion?"

3) After your f-list has stopped asking questions, round them up and answer them using the fifteen characters you selected beforehand, then post them.
