...but I love Billy Elliot (the movie and the show - which I caught in London and which will always be one of my best theater memories ever) a ridiculous amount.

It shouldn't be unexpected, it is a movie about dancing, and discovering who you are, and being that despite everything else (and there's a lot of tough 'everything else') and I recommend it highly.

Also, this made me grin from ear to ear for three whole minutes: Fascination by charmax78. Billy Elliot vid, catchiest tune ever, and just... it catches the whole feel of the thing beautifully.

Oh my gosh, I keep forgetting that people grow up! Or, I guess I forget they used to be young, since clearly he's grown up now. Thanks for sharing!

(I saw the movie years ago, but I've been weirdly avoiding the show - for no good reason, even. It's been on Broadway forever and won a bunch of Tonys, but I've never so much as googled it to see how it was adapted.)
