Oh, god, how lovely is this! I want more! I mean. Um. Sorry, I'm not usually so demanding. But this is such a GREAT idea! And I think we discussed before (or you posted? - yes, the questions meme!) about Die Hard 4 not really being made for AUs (or, that was me, sorry... it's getting late). But this is brilliant, and I love the feel of it - it's nice to have John's distance from the emotion, his not-unkind observations.
