Meme from 2011

Going back through my stuff for a thing, and saw this:

Post the names of all the files in your WIP folder, regardless of how non-descriptive or ridiculous.

And it was cool to look at the list of 20-something stories and realize only one or two are still on it! I've posted most of them and thrown a couple away.

So here's my 2016 list:

The Grace Machine
We Three Kings
FakeMarriage
The Road Less Traveled
Dean Winchester and the Deck of Many Things
Jensen RPF
Alternate Season Seven fic
The Four Horsemen
Super dark freeforall
10.9 Episode cap
J2 French Mistake fic
Losers soulbond fic
Impromptu
How It Ends (You Already Know)
No Reins on This One
Permutations
Vampire Greg
Wampire Greg
Fresh Start
Teleportation fic
Weird dreamworld post-apocalyptic story
Olive

Aaaaaaaand just so I don't show up and put up nothing than a meme, a heartwarming story:

Last Sunday my wife said "Let's go to Melting Pot!" She had a craving. Okay, so we went. Because fondue! And when we got there, the waiter asked us if there was a special occasion and we were like, "nope, just wanted to come out."

And he proceeded to be the worst waiter in the history of waiters.

But then, something came up about the Oscars. Which I totally missed this year (which is the first year in like, two DECADES that I missed them). And then we realized... our first date was the Oscars. We used to use the Oscars as our anniversary. And then I realized our first date was in 2006. We were out for 10 year anniversary. ON ACCIDENT. Heh. :D :D :D

Hee! I think we did something similar for our fifth.

Happy Anniversary! \o/

Ha ha, that's an awesome unintentional date! :D

Also, your WIPs have way more interesting titles than mine do. ;p

What an amazingly romantic mistake - well done! :)

So, I'm amused because I'm currently working on a similarly titled story to How It Ends (You Already Know) - though if I were the betting sort, I'd wager they didn't have much in common. Which just goes to show how many ways you can play similar titles. *g*

Also, congrats on the accidental anniversary date!

Hah, that's not my source, either, so even more divergent - I'm using You Know How They All End (Now), which is a play on a line from Romancing the Stone (referring to the endings to romances)...with the link there being that I'm writing a Hockey RPF story roughly based on the movie, with the setting changed to British Columbia and, well, a few other liberties taken. *g*

And as for the title to the sequel, maybe you could do something based on the 'You know there's a place in the sun' line or 'ask and you shall receive'...or 'forever's not so long', for something a little angstier?

Kat's titling service at your, well, service. Though, really, The DeVotchkas did all the heavy lifting; I just went and mined their words (and there's definitely a lot to find there). Anyway, glad one of those worked!

And aren't they great? Like, two titles that have four words in common, combined with one more pronoun apiece, plus an all or an already - and they imply entirely different things! SO COOL!

Sarah and I accidentally did this with the Bermuda cruise we took this year! (Also with the 10 year anniversary.)

Well, we'd kind of been together for ages already ('kind of' because It's Complicated), but that was the 10 year anniversary of moving in together. :)

It's so comforting that we're not the only ones who can't remember this shit!

Happy anniversary!

(And that's a great meme! But I could never do it. I have about ten million WIPs, and the files almost all have one-word names, plus version numbers. No one wants to read that!)

Hee! Accidental celebrations are the best. Well done, you two. :)

Also, cool meme. "The Grace Machine" intrigues me.

Okay, the waiter sucks, but the rest of the story is very cute.
Happy Anniversary!
