Fandom Snowflake Challenge, Day 2

In your own space, create a list of at least three fannish things you'd love to receive, something you've wanted but were afraid to ask for - a fannish wish-list of sorts. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your wish-list if you feel comfortable doing so. Maybe someone will grant a wish.

Oh, man. I always feel selfish when I do this, but you know, you guys are AMAZING and I have received some of the greatest gifts from this, so I'm going to do it despite my constant misgivings.

1. I'd love a few more Supernatural buddies. I know there aren't that many on DW, so if you're on tumblr and you can stand what is likely to my posting about Supernatural all the freaking time, follow me there? I'm kisahawklin (as I am everywhere that's not here). Feel free to friend me here, too, if you're stopping by from the Fandom Snowflake post! I post more broadly than Supernatural here, though.

2. I would love someone to cheerlead and/or beta my fic (again, mostly Supernatural). Betas really only for finished works, and I am looking for someone with a firm hand and strong opinions (but a willingness to allow variations for style). I haven't had a consistent beta in a while and I miss it - good betas are like writing school. For a cheerleader, I'd just love someone with whom I can share WIPs (including trading WIPs - I'm good at mutual cheerleading, just ask wintercreek) and get a daily "yay!" about. It's so helpful to keep me going.

3. Tutorials on gif-making. I have a feeling, now that I'm on tumblr, that I'm going to have to figure this one out.

Wait, you have a tumblr? I want to follow you there (though recently I've not been on for days/weeks at a time, partly intentionally, partly just because). I don't watch or read SPN, but would enjoy following you! (p.s. I looked but couldn't find the link - you might consider adding it to your profile and/or links <3)

Also, I have been trying to poke my head back up in fannish spaces after being pretty much a lurker/not here for a long time. I know myself enough to know that at this point, I don't have the time/energy reserves to cheerlead (might later if trends continue!), but I DO have time/energy I think to beta read on an occasional basis, and I love and enjoy it. Of course, I don't know SPN, so it would be more of a "read this as original fic mixed with my knowledge through osmosis of years of following people who do SPN." :D Anyway, shoot me an email any time if you might want to try and see how it would work. cathalinss@gmail.com (I also completely understand if you don't, given all the caveats haha! And it is possible I might disengage again due to my rl demands; if you write and don't hear, it's not personal, just means I'm not around due to rl :( )

I do have a tumblr, and it's here: http://kisahawklin.tumblr.com/ (and I've added it to the post there). I'm not overly invested yet, and I don't reblog a whole lot (the SPN fandom is quite... something).
