Write Every Day: October 2023 Day 2

Welcome to day two of the month! It was a great start yesterday, strong work writers!

This is my start of day 2, so I'm early for me, and while I can hope to do a little writing, it's probably unlikely. Good chance these posts and comments are my alibi sentences most days. :|

2 October: 168 really dreadful words that will almost certainly not survive the edit. But they will help get me to the edit. Trying to focus on that. I really feel like I'm having to write my way back into this fic, I don't think the good stuff is going to start coming out for a little while.

I almost didn't write at all today though - it was my first day back at work after being off sick with covid and I am completely shattered - so I'm proud of that at least.

That's right - the words have to exist for you to edit them! You can do it!

And you never know - I remember having some really rough days when I was writing longform, and when I went back to edit, I couldn't tell which parts were written on the good days and which were written on the bad. Maybe with some distance, they'll look like good words after all.

Congrats on getting words, that's an accomplishment after that kind of ordeal!
