Fandom Snowflake Challenge, Day 2


Fandom Snowflake Challenge banner

Day 2: In your own space, create a list of at least three fannish things you'd love to receive, something you've wanted but were afraid to ask for - a fannish wish-list of sorts. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your wish-list if you feel comfortable doing so. Maybe someone will grant a wish. Check out other people's posts. Maybe you will grant a wish. If any wishes are granted, we'd love it if you link them to this post.

Oh, man, so I have a lot of things I really would like. Here's just a short list:

1. Check in on [community profile] fandom_stocking to see if there are any wishes you can grant? That is one of the other great fannish outpourings of the season. You can post stuff up to and after reveals (January 6).

2. Someone to kick my ass for the next week about my [tumblr.com profile] rarepairbb story that's due on the 10th. I'd love to have an alpha reader/cheerleader for it, too, but they don't have to be the same person. I just need to write the ending and having someone kick my ass/cheerlead would help. (It's Supernatural, Wincestiel, alt!S9 fic.)

3. Leverage OT3 recs? (Parker/Hardison/Eliot)

I got a whole degree in teaching teenagers, so if you need a pro at kicking ass, look no further. What kind of cheerleading would you like? It just so happens that I'm on winter vacation for the next 2 weeks, so I have the time to cheerlead, but don't feel qualified to be an alpha reader.

Oh my gosh, that is perfect! Basically what I need is someone to poke me at least once a day to say "what have you written today?" And if the answer is "nothing" two days in a row, make me drop and give you twenty (or the fic equivalent).

An alpha reader doesn't really have any qualifications (other than fandom, so if you're not a Supernatural person, no biggie there), it's just someone who reads what there is so far and gives reactions as they go (any reaction, from OMG THAT'S HILARIOUS to I can't quite understand what's going on to What happened to the tiki torch that was in her hand?). But don't feel like you need to sign on for that part, just ass-kicking would be super helpful! (Though encouragement along with the ass-kicking helps. :)

Speaking of, psssst. What have you written today??? I'll take nothing less than OT3 makeouts and maybe a little groping.

Ahaha yayyyyy! I've written a shortfic for [community profile] snowflake_challenge, but nothing on my rarepairbb. Sadly, I'm in the middle of the porn, and I'm just not interested in writing it at the moment. I tried - because I hadn't written, and this was an excellent poking, but I'm exhausted and falling asleep and totally not interested in porn. >:(

Tomorrow I move forward one way or another. I can leave the porn with a placeholder and move on to the plot, I think, so tomorrow I will definitely get some words on this fucking thing.

I'm game wherever you are, either in comments here or by PM, or in email (my email is kisahawklin@gmail.com). And if you want to read it, I'm going to put it up in googledocs, I think, lemme know, and I'll send you an invite (I'll need your email for that though).
