It seems people have largely given up on it. I persevere (though anyone who follows me on Tumblr and doesn't have "spoilers" blacklisted is on their own).
Urgh, that sucks. I don't know why people don't cut-tag; it's so easy here and even on tumblr (Twitter is another matter, but I avoid that if I want to be spoiler-free for anything).
I literally blocked every related word I could think of on Tumblr, cut and warned in my Plurk for spoilers/reactions, and then saw the movie at the very first showing on Thursday because I knew neither of those would save me if I looked at the internet at all.
Not-so-surprisingly, Tumblr was the one place that was an absolute minefield. FTR, about 1/3 of the people I follow do not tag anything at all. Basically, I had to be extra careful whenever I went to my dashboard (even after blacklisting every word combination I could think of).
In the end, I did get spoiled for 3 things (only one which I considered major), but I managed to enjoy the movie nonetheless.
I follow someone on tumblr who won't follow anyone if they don't use tags properly. Have to admit it's a good strategy. I've unfollowed people for untagged SPN spoilers too.
I'd say just blacklist everything about the movie until you can see it. I've noticed sometimes if someone else tagged it with one of your blacklist words, even if the person you follow didn't tag it, it sometimes will block the post for you.
yes and no? Like I still see people mentioning it a lot and using tag and cuts, but on the other hand? Ultron really pissed a lot of people off and nothing tramples over the usual social niceties more so ugh, but ugh with reason?

We're going to see it this afternoon as a family outing, but my expectations are way lowered. :(

And thanks for the reminder to check if I've tagged mine -- I always forget to do that!
