Dear Ante Up Writer!
Thank you, thank you, thank you for writing a story for me. I hope to make this a absolutely fun, totally pain-free experience for you. So, on that note, the most important thing is: I want you to have a blast writing this. Seriously, if you have some Losers fic that is absolutely eating up your brain, then give it to me! I want to read it, no matter what it might be.
If you're looking for a little more guidance, then here are a few things I'm feeling right this second.
General: I love all types of stories - crack, fluff, angst, deathfic, AUs, crossovers, PWP, supernatural (this fandom has so many great were-fics, but one more could never go astray), apocalypse, robots, futurefic, high school AUs, boot camp, whatever, I love everything. Okay, not everything. So let's get the very small list of DNW out of the way, shall we?
Do not want: This is a short list, and I'm almost certain that there will eventually be a story that makes me like one of the things on this list, so if you think you can write me that story? Go for it. But here are my current dislikes: scatplay, humiliation, mpreg. Probably not really going to go for cock-and-ball torture, either. That's it! Anything else, go for it!
Crossover possibilities: This is not a comprehensive list, but I'll try. Things I like or love and think would go with The Losers like peanut butter and chocolate: Haven, Revenge (I'm loving that show), So You Think You Can Dance, X Men First Class, Trigun, Psych, Top Chef, Harry Potter, Temeraire, Star Trek 2009, Torchwood, Breakfast Club... I'm sure there are many more, but hopefully that gets you started. I know enough about lots and lots of shows and movies so crossovers with almost anything are usually a hit.
Gen fic: I really love all kinds of gen fic. In canon, I like backstories, teamfic, missionfic, and man, the story of my heart would be a fix-it where Roque was actually playing Max and on the team's side - not betraying them at all. For crossovers, I just love any way of making two canons mesh brilliantly - either a fusion that suits the characters to a tee (like Jensen = Vash in Trigun) or a crossover where storylines seem to cross in some way that is just a really brilliant coincidence (like Cougar and Riptide being related in X Men First Class). For AUs, I love everything. I love historical AUs and high school AUs and superpower AUs and mundane AUs and magic AUs and weird ones, where the team is an Olympic swimming relay team (Clay, Jensen, Pooch, Roque as the free relay and Pooch, Cougar, Jensen, and Roque as the medley team, can't you see it? And Aisha, Jolene, and Jensen's sister as 3/4 of the women's team!) or the team is doing a team challenge on Project Runway. Maybe they're a boy band, or Lady Gaga's dancers. GIVE IT TO ME. I WANT ALLLLLL THE AUs (gotta catch 'em all... and OMG THE POKEMON AU. COME ON, YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO!). I am also a huge fan of crack, so the team as cookie cutters or cheese puffs or matchbox cars or office supplies would be brilliant in every way.
Pairings/'Shippy fic: Okay, so my OTP is Cougar/Jensen. I just love them both so much. Between them, they hit just about every one of my major buttons. I like them in threes, too, so Cougar/Jensen/Pooch (preferably not cheating on Jolene; either pre-Jolene or with knowledge and consent (and Cougar/Jensen/Pooch/Jolene is a win too!)) and Cougar/Jensen/Aisha are love. I enjoy the Clay/Aisha in the movie, because Aisha is amazing, and also gorgeous. I love Pooch/Jolene a whole lot and would not mind seeing more of them, in any capacity. Femslash would totally be win, too, so Jolene/Aisha or Aisha/Jensen's sister would be awesome too. I can see the Clay/Roque (and wouldn't mind Clay/Roque/Aisha, either), but JDM naked is, unfortunately, not tops on my list. Idris Elba naked is totally my thing, though, so... maybe Roque solo fic? Roque fantasizing while he masturbates? OOooOoooh. Or Roque-centered Clay/Roque, Aisha/Roque, or Roque/Aisha/Clay would be hot. I like all ratings, so fade to black or just cuddling and kissing are just as welcome as kinky or vanilla explicit sex (and I like asexual characters, so I wouldn't mind reading one or more of them as ace, if that moves you). Queer characters are my fave, in any capacity. Gay, bi, pan, poly, ace, kinky, genderqueer, trans, and any non-heteronormative are all good for me (including non-traditional het relationships).
I hope that gives you an idea or two, and if it completely overwhelms you, just put this letter out of your mind and do the first Losers-related thing that comes into it. I promise I will love anything you write me because you wrote it for me. I'm really that easy. :D
