I'm not a huge horror fan, but I do watch things now and again (my little sister is a MASSIVE horror fan and I get nommed to be her +1 to things). Thinking about watching The Haunting of Hill House for Halloweeny vibes. Anyone got any other recs?

Day 12: a bit over 1k, part nostalgia project and part first rough draft for a fannish exchange story.

12 October -- managed a tad over 100 words on the innumerable stars piece. Right now I am not terribly happy with it. It has not quite gelled, and I'm not at all sure what to do about it. Muddle forward I guess.

I added 600 more words to my fic! I've reached the minimum word count for the challenge and have one more scene planned before I can give the whole thing a read over and make sure it flows smoothly, since I'm adding scenes in the middle. And maybe I'll want to add more scenes to flesh it out once I'm not worried about the word count.

Oct 13: Traveling to a wedding this afternoon, but 300 words before packing and heading out.

I don't watch or read much horror these days, but I still write it at this time of year.

Oct 13th - 1193 words, a 1k challenge fic, and some work on a fic for posting.

I recently read (and have not quite yet got round to reviewing) D. K. Broster's excellent collection of short horror stories Couching at the Door—not quite timed for Halloween, but I suppose it's the general season :D

Day 13: More editing and HTML coding. Uploaded the prologue as a draft on AO3; I hope to post it tomorrow as a sort of preview.

Day 13: Some editing on the werewolf fic and two emails to beta readers.

The Haunting of Hill House is one of my favorites. I'm also a big fan of The Exorcist and The Shining.

Day 13 was very long, and I have had a headache for most of it, so I only managed 313 words of the novel.

14th: 1310 words. I finally finished the sex scene! \o/! Just need to write a coda. :-)
