If you're an asshole for being selective about what you read, I'm probably worse because I'm fairly selective, but then when I'm actually reading, I spend a lot of time shouting at my screen about how terrible various stories are when they fail to meet my expectations. When I'm on a reading jag, my entire evening often becomes a chorus of "wait--what? WHAT? wait--what??? WHYYYYY, THOUGH? no. no, nonono...no. WHY AM I READING THIS?" This largely stems from my intense opinions on characterizations, and how other people are Doing It Wrong. :D?
