Gish-like fun for people who like podfic?

Hi hi hi everybody!

Thank you SO MUCH for all the book suggestions (and I'm still taking more - I bought 17 of them for the kid, but I think I might just buy him a dozen books a month or so for a while), there is so much good stuff on that page.

So, I'm not sure how I stumbled across it, but [community profile] voiceteam is a sort of challenge-based fannish fun community loosely based on GisHwhES, amplificathon, and others, and it looks to be a lot of fun. It's a month long series of challenges where you're on a team so you get to spitball things back and forth to try and create things. You do not have to be a podficcer - there are other challenges - but also, if you maybe want to try it a little, this might be the time? Come on, give podficcing a try, you might find you enjoy it, and you might make a few new friends along the way. You can also bring a buddy with you, if you're nervous about being stuck with a team of strangers (though I find the podfic community in general is pretty welcoming, as is anyone who understands the Gish part of this). Just name each other on your signups and you'll be put on the same team. :)

It's not high pressure - and you can specify in multiple places that you would like it to BE low-pressure, so if that's a concern, you can join and participate just a little bit if you want. There is no judgment, and if it turns out that life gets in the way (boy, do I understand that), you can be removed from a team no harm, no foul, and still fully engage next time, if you think you want to.

I'm really looking forward to this, and I think it'll be a blast. Come join me? I will absolutely cheer all y'all on, even if you end up on a different team. I love this kind of stuff. It's the reason I find fandom such a great place.
