First world problems, I know, but:
9/8/10 10:07 amDamn it, lady in the office near mine, stop getting up and wandering around! Sit down and do your work so I can read my flist without you looking over my shoulder every two minutes.
On to happier things, literally; a sweet comm for three happy things. I know
torachan is still posting happy things daily (and I see happy things here and there by other people), but here’s a place to be reminded of them:
3_good_things_a_day.
Weird – I have an email in my inbox from Jennifer Keller. Oh right, there’s that Jennifer Keller-Jackson lady that emails me once in a while. That makes it even funnier and kind of makes me want to write fic where Jennifer has a thing for older guys and dumps Rodney for Daniel while they’re back on Earth.
And in other random information I’m trying to put in one space: my brother is here. He’s sort of living with us for a while? He’s applying to jobs at Hopkins (and there’s one at Peabody Conservatory sort of tailor-made for him, so I’m thinking he’ll be around for a while), and hitting the gay bars every other weekend, and he has a date this afternoon – he’s taking my car so I had to walk to the shuttle this morning, and then NPR had this piece about the church in Gainesville, FL that’s going to burn Qur'ans for the anniversary of 9/11. I made a literal D: face and heard gasps from the back of the bus. I am so completely and utterly horrified I can’t even begin to say anything else.
In happy news, I made another step forward in my perfect chocolate chip cookie recipe, and will post the intermediary recipe later – perhaps with a pair of polls. Yeah, you heard me. TWO polls.
ETA: *shakes fist* Damn misplaced apostrophes! It's Qur'an, not Qu'ran. My apologies.
